PROLOGUE

Quick steps through a dense structure of trees. He turns back as if he heard something terrifying and starts running. His clothes have blood stains on them and he is barefoot. Struggling to escape from the trees, he pushes away everything he sees before him and keeps running as if he is escaping from something. He’s all sweated up and his black long hair was falling on his eyes covering his vision partially as he’s running. Turning back to check something while running, his left leg ran through the thorns of a plant and it started bleeding. Hobbling around with fear in his eyes and pain in his leg, he felt a shiver through his spine as he heard a crunch of dry leaves due to footsteps. Dilated pupils and adrenaline-filled body, his mind is in a state of fear and curiosity as he heard a mild growl from his behind. Too scared to turn back, he kept limping his way out when he saw a slight shine at the end.

A ray of white light. A ray of hope to escape from this dark and eerie place. His heart started to fill with hope, and all his energy is diverted to the flight mode, he’s going to rush to the white light. The growl behind him gets louder and louder as he runs toward the light. Constantly telling himself that the distance is reducing and increasing his hope for survival, he speeds up and the light keeps getting bigger. All of a sudden, a squirrel comes in his way and he steps on it, slips to fall into a pile of mud. The mud gets into his right eye, burning his eye and blocking his vision from the right eye. The growl gets louder and the footsteps nearer, he turns back in horror to find two glowing eyes in red looking straight into his eyes. He felt his heart becoming heavier and beating faster as he woke up again and started running away from those eyes into the light.

Speed decreased and vision partially impaired, his hope of reaching the light started to decrease. The red eyes made a powerful impression in his mind and his fear of dying watching into those eyes dominated his hope to reach the light, but still, he didn’t stop running. He kept limping toward the ray of hope. As the ray gets closer, the area gets brighter but the red eyes get closer too. In the bright white light, he saw a huge paw coming from the shadows. A big white smile with teeth like fangs start to appear below the pair of red eyes, the pupils of the eyes get dilated and huge claws get unsheatened from the paw. He stands there in horror, looking into the eyes of what looks like his doom. The growl became bigger and another paw came out of the shadows. He closed his eyes and started praying and lost all hope of living hoping only a miracle can save him now. The creature jumped on and almost caught him but someone pulled him into the ray of hope.

He was pulled and thrown onto the land on the bright side and looked at the man who saved him. It was an old white man in a suit. His eyes instantaneously changed from a grateful look to a horror look. The man in the suit pulled him up by his collar and started laying powerful blows on his face and his eyesight begins to blur. But, he can notice a hand stopping this man from punching, “para Fernando! (Stop it, Fernando!)”. That hand turned him to his left and he saw the blurry face of a young man in a suit. “We’ve missed you, Surendra. You shouldn’t have run away like that. Look at what happened to you. Mira Tu Cara! (Look at your face!)  Take our guest to his room and let him rest. Lo trataremos más tarde. (We’ll deal with him later.)”. His dehydration and the pain from all the blows made Surendra pass out and just before passing out he saw himself being carried by Fernando while the other guy in the suit is smiling at him. “What have I done?” He whispered to himself and passed out completely.
